My new classroom HOGWARTS!

SO after much thought and consideration, I have decided on a Hogwarts theme for my classroom. Using the color scheme and some props from the movies, and so far I have created:
My Lesson plan book, Hallway Pass and rules (larger one below)
I used Wizard's Magic (you can google and download it for free) font for the wording, and brown paper crumpled (from the dollar tree), and gone over with contact paper (also dollar tree...hey I'm a teacher) for wrapping the binder

Quills
Feathers wrapped with fabric using hot glue and scrap fabric

These were more difficult because they had to be altered using photoshop, but I love them!! Really brings Hogwarts in!

My potions bottles, I have 4 more to make :) I got these from a pdf. I found using google, from someone's Halloween party.

This will go on my door so students can read it as they leave :) (Also Wizard's magic)

Other paper things I made for use.

There will be a sorting hat and wand coming up :)
Hope you enjoyed!!

DIY Thing 1 Onesie

We go to universal studios several time a month (we have annual passes) and we always seem to want a new onesie for the LO. In an effort to save some serious money I made her this onesie on a budget.

I simply printed a picture of the decal from google, cut it out to make it a stencil, traced black marker around the edges, and painted from there.
Let me say, that the "real" shirts are red, with the white and black, but I could not find any red onesies and to dye ONE onesie would be crazy, but you could always do it it you wanted.
My supplies are simple and cheap. Acrylic paint in the colors and puffy paint in the matching colors.
I purchased the red and blue both paints at Michael's along with the onesies. (Michael's is a little pricey on the baby onesies, but I had a 40% off coupon which beat even Walmart prices).
Make sure you put plastic (I used grocery bag) inside the onesie to make sure the paint doesn't bleed through! :)

It turned out pretty great!
